Radiologists may perform studies slightly different. HSG stands for HysteroSalpingogram. As far as the "control" radiograph, I assume it is what we commonly call a "scout' film. An x-ray over the abdominal area before contrast is injected into the uterus, which in this case appeared normal."Free spill" of contrast generally indicates the fallopian tubes are open, no evidence of blockage.
