Primary closed angle glaucoma: you are born with the eye anatomy which can develop into this condition with aging. This probably has genetic link but the incidence is unknown, more prevalent in population of Asian descent. Secondary closes angle glaucoma: a primary process (a different eye disease, e.g. retinal bleeding) is responsible for narrowing or closure of the anterior chamber angle.
