The standard way is to get a prescription from either your family doctor or a dentist. At age 46 there might be some deeper inflammation in the tooth root which a visit to your dentist can discover. Penicillin is of course a prescriptive item unless you live close to the border from Mexico and want to try a pharmacy over the border.

Firstly, just because you have a toothache does not mean you have an infection. Secondly, antibiotics will not restore that tooth. No prescriptions from this website. Please see your local dentist for proper care.

Although the most common reason for toothache is infection, there are other causes. Penicillin will not cure a toothache. For that ou need the services of a Dentist. Following examination, if antibiotics are appropriate the Dentist will prescribe them. We do not diagnose or prescribe on this site, it's for general health care education.

IF YOU SEE YOUR DENTIST FOR TREATMENT THAN THE TOOTHACHE WILL SUBSIDE AND NO INFECTION WILL RESULT, SO NO NEED FOR PENICILLIN.
