Is it normal to have heart rate around 160rpbm on pulse oximeter when drinking any type of alcohol even a little bit triggers increase in heart rate above 100.i have irregular heart beat despite alcohol intake and take omeprazole for gerd?

Alcohol can trigger tachycardia. If you already have an irregular heartbeat and you know that alcohol has this effect on you I would highly recommend that you stop drinking alcohol. Repeat bouts of Tachycardia can cause problems including: fainting, weakness, stroke, heart failure, heart attack and sudden death.
