Have you ever seen a person relieved of bertolotti syndrome without surgery?

The initial treatment for Bertolotti's syndrome is steroid injections into the area. This provides significant antiinflammatory relief to most patients. In those who continue to have pain, a Rhizotomy may need to be performed (outpatient, using a needle with a tip that heats to cauterize small nerves near the joint), the final option is surgery. Talk to an ortho Dr who specializes in backs/spines.
