Best way to resolve snapping tricep syndrome other than surgery?

Frequently the syndrome begins during a period of new exercise and force involving: pushups and weight lifting. The patient should avoid any exercise involving forceful elbow flexion for a period of 6 months. A Dr may suggest non steroidal antiinflammatories, a splint, physical therapy or cortisone injections. If after 6 months the problem persists, then surgery is the only option.
