I was told i had ureaplasma and give 5 days of azithromycin 250mg. i waited to get retested but ureaplasma still showed. the gyn wants me to take another course of antibiotics. is another course needed? i do have slight pelvic discomfort?

Ureaplasma is normal in the genital tract; up to half of all people your age test positive. It probably has nothing to do with your pelvic discomfort. STD and genital infection experts rarely test for Ureaplasma and understand treatment rarely is needed. When treatment is indicated, doxycycline is the treatment of choice, not azithro. Keep working on other causes of pelvic pain.
