I have been to the er twice with severe stomach pain.the first time they did a ct and i received omnipaque 350 the second time i had a mri and received gavidist i think its called. i am breastfeeding and they never told me to stop. is this dangerous?

Less than 1% of the administered maternal dose of contrast medium is excreted into breast milk. Less than 1% of the contrast medium in breast milk ingested by an infant is absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract. Therefore, the expected dose of contrast medium absorbed by an infant from ingested breast milk is extremely low. You should not worry much especially if your baby is healthy.
