A member asked:

Clumping of caudal nerve roots, suggestive of adhesive arachnoiditis" on 2nd opinion mri report. also have intracranial hypertension. could reducing intracranial pressure help the arachnoiditis?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Adhesive arachnoiditis is essentially local scarring with chronic inflammation, and structurally cannot be reversed. Whether high spinal fluid pressures or testing via lumbar punctures has contributed is unclear. Most often arachnoiditis is a post-operative consequence following back surgery.
