Recommendations for patients who contracted COVID are to have COVID vaccine. Current recommendations are that patients with a history of myocarditis or pericarditis should receive vaccine. The risk of triggering myocarditis from COVID vaccine is much smaller than the risk of COVID infection causing myocarditis. It is still a scary proposition if you are the mother. Best wishes.
