Head trauma such as you described will rarely cause serious problems. The skull bones and the fluid surrounding the brain provide a cushion which prevents damage. As with any head trauma, you should watch for headaches, vision/hearing changes, nausea, and palpable movement at the trauma site.

Apply locally a cool pack and take Tylenol after discussing with your physician. Watch for worsening headache, vomiting and imbalance.
