Ibuprofen 200 mg is generally safe, but with older individuals who may be taking other medications, please let your doctor know that this is being taken chronically and to screen for potential problems.

No, as a kidney doctor who has seen many patients with NSAID nephropathy, I would advise again taking any type of NSAID on a daily basis even with a very low dose except Aspirin. Even taking Tylenol everyday is also bad for your kidneys. At your age, NSAID nephropathy is a very real risk and you do not take Ibuprofen (a NSAID) for insomnia due to enlarged prostate. Please see a urologist.
