advice is no: Generally speaking i would avoid narcotic pain medications for low back pain: things such as vicodin, percocet, percodan, (oxycodone and aspirin) oxycontin. I would stick to nsaids such as motrin/naprosyn. The narcotics may make you feel better in the short term but can lead to many problems.
