I took 4 advil (ibuprofen) for my lower back pain. it isn't helping, is it ok to take a vicodin?

advice is no: Generally speaking i would avoid narcotic pain medications for low back pain: things such as vicodin, percocet, percodan, (oxycodone and aspirin) oxycontin. I would stick to nsaids such as motrin/naprosyn. The narcotics may make you feel better in the short term but can lead to many problems.
