A 24-year-old female asked:

I woke up with my head violently twisting back and forth and my legs/arms were also shaking. i tried to call out but it felt like my tongue was stuck and mouth glued. 2 mins later happened again. is it considered a seizure and should i be concerned?

Yes you should be concerned and I recommend consulting a neurologist for evaluation and advice about testing. You may have had a partial seizures as you appeared to be conscious but didn't bite your tongue, get rigid, or have incontinence of urine. Allow a specialist to sort this out including identifying any possible triggers of such an event.

Would certainly evaluate whether this was seizure activity vrs a sleep disorder. A neurologist could sort this out.
