I had a baby 3 weeks ago. ever since i've been having what seems like heart palpitations. shortness of breath. and feeling tingly. during pregnancy i had a 24 hr heart monitor. would doctor know by listening to my heart if anything was wrong?

With palpitations and shortness of breath, please see either your obstetrician or your primary care doctor. It's more important to have a good history and physical to evaluate for various conditions that may follow pregnancy. Best wishes.

An EKG 12 lead is recommended, and please discuss the possibility of a DVT and PE with your PCP. Watch for signs of respiratory difficultly and if this occurs, then proceed to the Emergency room.
