A member asked:

I am scheduled to get a rhinoplasty in one week. i was told to quit smoking two weeks prior, which i did, but i smoked one cigarette yesterday. i am nervous this will cause complications but i really do not want to reschedule as now is the ideal time?

One cigarette is not likely to expose you to serious risk. However, now that you are off this poison/tobacco, do not go back to using tobacco. For healthy diet: http://www.choosemyplate.gov/., exercise 30 minutes/day, drink enough water daily so your urine is mostly colorless, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs. Get HPV and Covid vaccines. Wish you good health!

I haven’t smoked one cigarette in the last two weeks is not going into going to interfere with your rhinoplasty surgery. Not smoking for two weeks overall is definitely helpful but one cigarette in that time it’s not going to be an issue I would not reschedule
