My mother recently found it she has emphysema, and she has been smoking cigarettes for 40 years. she is trying to quit smoking, so she is now smoking e-cigarettes. are these any safer than a regular cigarette? can they cause fungal infections in the lungs

E cigarettes: E cigarettes are not really more safe than regular cigarettes, they just don't have all the same particulates in their smoke.
