Thyroid removal can be either complete, or just a section. In either way, thyroid hormone will need to be supplemented/replaced. Your Dr should have you on Levothyroxine or a similar medication to prevent symptoms. Low thyroid levels can result in fatigue, sensitivity to cold, dry skin, hoarseness, weight gain, constipation.
