There can be many reasons for an elderly person to be walking slow. It could be a medical reason like hypothyroid or nuance of diabetes or severe anemia or dementia. Walking slowly in a shuffling gait is a sign of Parkinson’s disease. Need in person evaluation by neurologist for diagnosis and treatment
