A member asked:

How do you test for disc pallor.is it through a simple dilated eye exam where you look at the optic nerve or is it through other tests also.if so what are the tests?

Examination of the eye with an ophthalmoscope would be sufficient to assess the disc. For healthy diet: http://www.choosemyplate.gov/., exercise 30 minutes/day, drink enough water daily so your urine is mostly colorless, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs. Get HPV and Covid vaccines. Wish you good health!

Disc pallor is simply assessed by looking directly at the optic nerve with an ophthalmoscope or camera. It is often an indication of optic nerve health. Optic nerve function, however, is assessed by visual fields, electroretinography, pupillary responses to light, etc.
