I was prescribed two medications by my doc. can i use fluconizole and metronidazole gel at the same time? since one may cause a yeast infection to arise?

Fluconazole is oral and is for yeast infection, metronidazole gel is for bacterial infection and is topical. I am not sure what made your doctor want to combine it, possibly you have both infections, or you have symptoms that he is not sure what is causing it. You could use both but it is important to take your doctor to task in the future to know why things are being done for you so it is easier.
