A member asked:

How to know if you have a pinched intercostal nerve? & what treatment will help?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

A true "pinched intercostal nerve" is rather rare, and often a neuritis involving an intercostal nerve is due to shingles. I presume you suffer pain over the trunk, and if you wish to get diagnosed properly, see your primary physician, and proceed from there. Treatment is based upon causation, and your doctor can help point the way.
