The overall prognosis depends on the condition which causes the arterial occlusion but not from the arterial occlusion by itself. I am not sure what the mortality rate you are talking about based on what condition. What is your underlying disease and what the procedure they did? Did you have a procedure for a shunt in the upper arm or in your heart then it's complicated with thrombosis down stream
