Been on antibiotics for three days now for bronchitis. cough is beginning to do much better, but i still have a lot of mucus in my throat, and i constantly have to clear it. do i have something else on top of bronchitis that is causing this?

It takes time for the tissues to heal and in the healing process, the cells produce more secretions. You may try steam/vapor inhalation to loosen up the phlegm and make it easier to cough it out. Wish you good health!

The illness destroys some of the cells lining the respiratory tract that will regrow over time. While recovery occurs the mucus production contains this debris Which will gradually decline in amount over time. Keeping well hydrated will help you recover as fast as possible. I do not consider this pattern worrisome.
