Positional syncope (fainting sensation) is usually an "inner ear" issue. Get a referral to an ENT specialist for a definitive diagnosis. He/she may order a CT or MRI exam to help determine the cause.

vertigo is a spinning sensation of you or your environment (or both), not a fainting sensation. syncope is fainting, sounds like you're describing lightheadedness, which isn't either. if vertigo ent, if faining/syncope medical primary
