My spleen ruptured without a cause . i was in my 3rd trimester of my pregnancy and it just ruptured after having my son within days i had emergency surgery and they still dont know why it ruptured. how could a spleen rupture without cause?

Causes for a ruptured spleen when there are no obvious "causes". In the third trimester, the spleen is being compressed by the nearly full term developing fetus. If the spleen was enlarged already due to a metabolic issue it would not take much of a blow to your body externally or internally (a kick from the fetus) to rupture. The spleen is responsible for removing old white & red blood cells.
