The adoption of new technologies into common practice is highly dependent on the specific needs of the target population. Since regular phlebotomy is an inexpensive and easily tolerated set of procedures for most persons, there is not a high driving demand for a technology such as this. (especially since it is much more expensive and requires specialized training)
