It is safe to continue taking avamys nasal spray when pregnant? i take this ongoing for nasal congestion and ringing in ears. i stopped taking 2 weeks ago when i found out i was pregnant. should i stay off for full pregnancy or just first trimester?

Use of nasal corticosteroids is not recommended in pregnancy. There are no human studies to show it is safe. Pregnant rats dosed via inhalation have shown decreased fetal body weight, but teratogenicity was not observed. Try using saline nasal washes during pregnancy instead.
