You likely have venous insufficiency or stasis in which blood pools in your legs whenever sitting or standing for long enough. Keeping your legs up as much as possible and when possible will reverse the tendency and compression stockings may help as well. Diuretics are also used sometimes, your doc would be in best position to discuss them in the context of your current treatment.
