I have a fever and a inflammation of throat, how to deal with it without going to a doctor or a hospital?

See below: If simply viral, treat supportively and gargle with salt water. However, strep can't be ruled out here and if that is present and not treated, problems can ensue. Most viral sore throats will resolve within 5-7 days, but strep won't. I still recommend seeing your doc.
