I was prescribed antibiotic and steroid for bronchitis because i have had symptoms for 5 weeks. should i take both if symptoms seem to have improved by next morning, and i havent taken any yet. i just dont want to take these meds unless necessary.

If you do not have high fever, shortness of breath and chest pain, you can delay one day and take them next day if you do not feel well. If you want to take either of them, I would suggest taking antibiotic. In general, we do not treat bronchitis with antibiotic, only treat bacterial pneumonia because most bronchitis is caused by viral infection. I assume you were tested negative for Covid-19.
