How did you decide that the COVID 19 infection is a minor one if he has breathing difficulty? How long ago did he have the infection? If the infection is very recent it may not be post COVID syndrome and you best have him evaluated to have prescribed medication to combat the symptoms. Breathing difficulty post COVID is because of slow resolution of inflammation and it may take months to resolve.

Studies have shown that in people with even mild Covid symptoms abnormalities on lung CT scans are very common. If you're experiencing significant symptoms such as shortness of breath,persistent cough,chest discomfort consult a pulmonologist for evaluation and advice. Also a heart examination and EKG are advisable.
