While there is early research showing possible anti cancer effects for THC/CBD mixtures, the long term side effects of cannabis with regard to cancer are largely unknown. Inhaled products remain prone to causing lung disease, due to lungs being unnecessarily exposed to solid substances.

There is absolutely NO evidence linking cannabis to cancer, and would be very safe to use edible form. As mentioned, lung issues from smoking will emerge over the years, and expect will see asthma and COPD (maybe even a few lung cancers), but oral ingestion should be fine.
