A member asked:

How does marijuana help with cancer patients?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

symptom relief: Marijuana is not an anti-cancer product. It can help with some of the side effects of cancer chemotherapy and some of the general metabolic ill feeling from metastatic cancer. The major problem with it is that it is federally illegal (although 'legal' in some states). We need improved laws regarding this generally benign agent.
