All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, a slightly elevated CK in febrile patient who received an intramuscular injection is not a cause for concern. You may repeat the test 3 months after resolution of illness.

The mildly elevated creative kinase was likely related to the current (at the time) viral illness combined with a degree of dehydration. The physician who ordered the text would be best to place it in clinical context.
