Almost half of all cases of nongonococcal urethritis do not have a specific etiology. Your symptoms are consistent with urethritis but the most commons STD pathogens were ruled out and the problem was self limited in the previous years so I do not think an extensive workup is necessary. I wonder if your sexual partner has any symptom at all. Whatever, please practice safe sex if you are single.
