Since your heart is towards the front of your chest cavity and behind it are blood vessels and lungs, laying on your chest can cause some pressure on your heart. If you don't have palpitations at any other time, then you don't need to worry. If you do experience any heart abnormalities, see your primary Dr for a baseline EKG and a thorough evaluation.
