Sore,swollen area b/t front of left ear & tmj. ear swollen inside, clogged. dr gave allergy med, & antibiotics if swelling isnt down by weds. he said not worried abt swelling if lymph node, bc small, moveable, squishy. when will swelling go away?

The lymph nodes draining the inflamed/infected ear canal will gradually recede in size when the inflammation subsides. It may take weeks to disappear. Are you instilling antibiotic/anti-inflammatory ear drops.as well as taking oral antibiotics?

Minor sore throat in right tonsil which comes with a cough occasionally. Some minor ear pain comes and goes but nothing major. I just noticed lymph nodes near ears are mildly swollen. What could this be? Allergies? Also no fever or sinus problems.
