My dr told me to use ear cleaning drops (debrox) whenever i put liquid in my ears it stays plugged and will not come out. how do i avoid this? i absolutely hate it water in my ears?

You could try a wax removal kit, available at pharmacies, without prescription. If you do not like putting watery drops in your ear, you can try baby oil as that will soften the wax and make it easier to come out. Wish you good health!
