Irregular bleeding or spotting is common in the first three to four months after you start taking the minipill. This should subside once your body adjusts to the medication. You may experience spotting later on if you've missed or skipped a dose or your body experiences stress: change in weight, new exercise program, loss of sleep, certain medications.

https://www.healthline.com/health/womens-health/breakthrough-bleeding-on-the-pill#causes. if just minor spotting like 1 pad /day should not be a major issue :if 4 or more pads a day may be an issue if persistent and you should seek medical attention. You could check your blood count in 1 month to be sure.
