Gas buildup in the gastrointestinal tract can be either due to excessive gas formation or normal gas that doesn't travel down the gi tract down to the rectum where it can be expelled. Avoid gassy foods&gassy beverages. Take simethicone 1/2 hours after meals to prevent gas formation & buildup. Drink hot water and apply heat to the abdomen to relieve severe bloating. Continue fatty liver follow-up.

The liver enzymes are not jumping rapidly in fatty liver. The abdominal distention suggests ascites or fluid accumulation, that is common in chronic liver disease, specifically cirrhosis. Evaluation for a paracentesis (ascites fluid removal) is recommended along with further tests in order to better delineate your condition and plan going forward either through your family doc or liver specialist.

It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. Fatty liver can be due to alcohol intake, obesity and drug toxicity. If you are overweight, it is imperative that you lose weight by restricting you food intake, drastically. It would be prudent to see a doctor, preferably a GI specialist. Wish you good health!
