I have pacs even while taking verapamil 180mg. my cardiologist has recommended adding toprol xl 25 mg because of the symptomatic palpitations. im concerned about taking both drugs. also bistolic previously caused me intense fatigue. thoughts?

BB and CCBs are often given together. If one BB causes fatigue another may not. Only way to tell is to try it. Keep a diary of heartbeat and fatigue issues. Ask if blood potassium is low.

PACs that occur without concomitant heart disease do not need to be treated unless they are symptomatic and cause distress or there are concerns about recurrent tachycardias associated with PACs.
