If you have not seen a dentist in 6 months or more, it would be prudent to see one. Gum pain can be caused by improper flossing technique, sub gingival tarter, decay, untreated gum disease, improper brushing, food impaction, and other causes. Please see your Dentist to make sure that your problem is not self inflicted.
