keep the area that was burned clean and apply topical bacitracin . If there is a blister over the burn do not pop it or remove it. The blister prevents infection.

Apply ice immediately after a burn. Silvadene ointment prevents infection and soothe the wound. For superficial burns aloe vera can also soothe and promote healing.
