Possibly allergic...: Patches of red, sometimes itchy, skin can appear anywhere on the body due to genetics, allergies, or environmental conditions. Heat rash or stress can cause blotchy skin to appear on the face, chest, and neck. Some detergents, perfumes, dyes, or fabric can also irritate the skin. Autoimmune diseases should be considered as well. Length of time of the rash and associated symptoms would be helpful.
