A member asked:

I heard acl repair surgery can stunt growth. can surgical repair to shoulder tendons (ie bicep, tricep, rotator cuffs) also risk stunting growth?

No: Neither surgery stunts growth.

No: people your age rarely tear tendons in the shoulder- mostly the labrum and repair will not affect growth

Not likely: ACL reconstruction can affect growth of the thigh or shin bones in skeletally immature people ie only if your growth plates are open and you have a significant amount of growth remaining. This is only a concern for a small subset of acl-injured individuals. The shoulder injuries you describe typically occur in people who are done growing so growth disturbance is not an issue.
