A member asked:

If i have a red mark on my breast that's about the size of a dime and that isn't itchy or painful but is slightly swollen and raised (and isn't ringworm), what could it be? i've had it for the past 2-3 weeks?

Because the breast has hair follicles, you may be experiencing a simple case of an infected follicle. You should be examined by an in person Dr, though to rule out other possible problems including skin infection, abscess or other more serious problems.

A raised red spot on the breast may be an insect bite or a pimple and is not usually a sign of breast cancer. However after 2or 3 weeks it hasn't changed and I recommend having it examined by your physician, gynecologist or dermatologist.
