Hi, i received my 2nd pfizer dose yesterday. so far, i feel fine. what is the likelihood i will have side effects, and when do they generally start? also, after my first dose, i did not have side effects if thats helpful. thank?

Likely the side effects will occur, usually 8-12 hours after the shot, getting worse in the next 24 hours and resolve at the end of day 2. You can take Acetaminophen (Tylenol) for fever more than 101, body aching, pain at injection site, etc. Dose is 650 -1,000 mg every 6-8 hours as needed. Please note that Tylenol does not make the vaccine less effective.

You are out of the time range for known acute reactions that may include local soreness, fatigue, febrile/subfebrile state among the most common seen. Delayed reactions have been described as well, they are heterogeneous and maybe difficult to relate as they may represent unrelated health events.
