Red burning itchy rashes in moist areas of the body are typically caused by fungus. Fungal infections require treatment with OTC or prescription antifungals. Use of steroids in these infected areas (such as elica cream) can make the infection worse. Try an OTC preparation made for athletes foot or jock itch containing miconazole or clotrimazole. See a Dr if it does not resolve.
