Folliculitis is typically caused by short clips or shaving of the pubic hair and subsequent infection or ingrown hairs in the hair follicle. Try using a scrubbing washcloth or gentle friction in circular motion over the area to help clear the follicles and unearth the ingrown hairs. You can also apply triple antibiotic ointment to the area to keep bacteria down and prevent local infections.

Agree with Dr. Kratzberg. Keep the area clean and dry. If you shave your genitals, quit doing that. For healthy diet: http://www.choosemyplate.gov/., exercise 30 minutes/day, drink enough water daily so your urine is mostly colorless, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs. Get HPV and Covid vaccines. Wish you good health!
